Trinity College London is recognised by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in the UK, and validates Certificate and Diploma courses in TESOL which are offered by organisations in the state and independent sectors in the UK and worldwide. Trinity’s teacher training qualifications are among the most widely recognised and respected in their field.
All Trinity programmes have to go through a rigorous process during which all aspects of the course are scrutinised by Trinity’s validation review panel, negotiated with the course provider and discussed constructively and in detail during a validation visit by Trinity.
Every Trinity CertTESOL and DipTESOL course is independently moderated by Trinity representatives. This means that the quality of the training you’ll receive meets the highest of standards – wherever in the world you do your course. As a result, over the years, the Trinity stamp of approval has come to be trusted by TEFL employers everywhere.
Trinity TESOL qualifications are accredited by the UK Government’s Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) to appropriate levels on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
The CertTESOL is accredited at EQF Level 5 (comparable in difficulty to the second year of an undergraduate degree).
The DipTESOL is accredited at EQF level 7 (comparable to master’s degrees in related subject areas).
The European Qualifications Framework links different countries’ qualifications frameworks together and makes the level of qualifications easier to understand across different countries and systems in Europe. It can help you to compare your qualifications with those of other countries if you are moving from one country to another for work or continuing your education or training. EQF accreditation ensures that training, skills and qualifications from one country are trusted, valued and recognised in other countries.
Trinity's TESOL qualifications are accepted by most employers worldwide.
They are welcomed by the British Council for new and experienced teachers. The CertTESOL is accepted as an initial TESOL or TEFL qualification, and the Dip TESOL as a full TEFL Qualifying qualification, for teachers in its accredited teaching organisations in the UK and in its own teaching operations overseas.
The CertTESOL and DipTESOL also gain you credits towards degree programmes offered by the Open University in the UK, while the DipTESOL gives the holder credits towards several master’s qualifications.
